Of course, the Abstract submission deadline has been postponed too...
Note! Abstracts already submitted will automatically be considered for the new symposium date.
Do not submit your abstract again to avoid duplication.

The registration deadline is 31 March.

Dear Colleague,

The 1 st CERTFRUIT Symposium will be held at CRSFA in Locorotondo (Bari, Italy) on July 3-5, 2023 in presence (NO hybrid form), with the co-organization of the Italian Society for Horticultural Science (SOI). The abstract submission deadline has been postponed to February 15. We encourage you to visit the symposium website (www.certfruit2020.org) to follow future updates of deadlines and fees.

The symposium will consist of a three-day scientific program, and a two-day post-congress tour of the following topics:

    1. Genetic and health certification of plant propagation material

    2. Methods and technologies for in vivo or in vitro plant propagation and growing strategies including artificial substrates, Plant Growth Regulators (PGRs) and biostimulants;

    3. Nursery organization and management for tree fruit production, including climate control tools and strategies.

    4. Plant breeding rights, exchange, and transfer of plant propagation material

    5. Growth and yield performance of nursery plants in the orchard

The event will be open to all the research, teaching, and extension community, as well as to producers and marketers involved in the nursery industry. The goal is to promote international cooperation and dissemination of the latest information regarding certified fruit trees.

Manuscripts should be as concise as possible in order to be easy to read and include an economically sustainable number of pages for the Acta Horticulturae proceedings. A maximum number of 16 pages, including figures, tables and literature cited,is recommended for an invited speech,whereas a maximum of 8 pages is requested for manuscripts related to all otheroral or poster presentations. as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the decision has been made to reschedule the meeting from September 28-30, 2020, to October 4-6, 2021 in hybrid form. The I CERTFRUIT Symposium will be held in Bari (Southern Italy) at CRSFA in Locorotondo, with the co-organization of the Italian Society for Horticultural Science (SOI).

The symposium will consist of a three-day scientific program, and a two-day post-congress tour of the following topics:

    1. Genetic and sanitary certification of plant propagating material

    2. Methods and technologies for plant propagation and growing

    3. Nursery management and production

    4. Plant breeding rights, exchange and movement of plant propagating material

    5. Agronomical behaviour of propagated fruit trees

The event will be open to all involved in the research, teaching, and extension community, as well as producers and marketers involved in the nursery industry. The goal is to promote international cooperation and dissemination of the latest information regarding certificated fruit tree.
